• Question: Do the extreme conditions faced by Moutaineers/Mountain climbers have long term effects?

      Maybe. This is probably not a problem for people who climb high mountains like those found in the European Alps etc. but scientists have recently done some brain scans on extreme mountian climbers like those who climb Everest and have found some long listing structural changes. It is unknown what effect these changes have as the climbers seemed normal. Also, you also get long term effects of cold exposure like poor circulation to the hand and feet which could last a long time.
