      road running can be a little more forgiving as generally it’s done at a lower intensity. You should try and reserve any track running you do for faster intervals (<1 mile reps), but make sure that you ease your way into running on the track as you're more likely to get Achilles problems if try to rush into it and do too much too soon without enough conditioning.
