• Question: does our heartbeat increase as we get older?

      Actually the opposite happens; as we get older our heartbeat slows down . So when you’re young your heart might be 70-80 beats per minute, as you become an adult it goes down to 70-60 beats per minute, and then when you become really old this can go down to 60-50 beats per minute.

      What also matters is how healthy you are, some people who do a lot of exercise can have really healthy hearts and these beat slower even if they’re young.
