Cancer goes through different stages, so if it is detected early, a person can get treatment and have a good outcome. However, if the cancer has spread to other part of the body or doesn’t respond well to treatment, a person could die within months. Also, people’s bodies react differently, so a person could be told they have months to live and then live for years. There is a school of thought that your attitude affects how your body responses to treatment and how well you recover.
