      Exercises that increase your heart rate would burn calories, so it depends on how often you do the exercise. Step aerobics can burn 400calories in 30minutes and apparently a simple exercise like skipping can burn even more.

      The beat exercise to lose weight is one that incorporates the most muscles and is weight bearing I.e. step aerobics would be good. The intensity of the exercise is also important. Mild to moderate exercise intensity is best for burning fat whereas higher intensity exercise is better to improve fitness.
