• Question: why do tsunami cause so much destruction?

      A tsunami is a massive wall of water. It is travelling at such a speed that anything is crashes into cannot take all the pressure. So most buildings would be destroyed by it.

      Its very difficult to try build anything to withstand a tsunami just because of how tall they can be (up to 400m high) and the speed; even the strongest wall could be destroyed by that.

      They are infact designing building to withstand tsunami’s. it sounds crazy but they are going to build submarine shaped buildings that will flot and be able to go underwater for a while with up to 80 people in it. This is exactly how science can help the world through inventions and predicitng tsunami’s……
